What a wonderful celebration! Before the business meeting, members visited and reminisced. Displays and a PowerPoint presentation were available to share club history and pictures of members through the years.
President Michele C. called the meeting to order and was able to control member enthusiasm long enough to take care of business. Lunch choice was either pork chop or slow roasted sirloin followed by a piece of our delicious birthday cake with ice cream!
While the adults played, the travel dolls celebrated too!
Many of the ladies dressed in their best finery, complete with hats for the occasion.
Pam J. presented the program “High-heeled Fashion Dolls 1957-1963”. Her program display of dolls was incredible and her PowerPoint entertaining. Pam’s love for the dolls from this era and the information that she shared made us all want to add to our collections.
After the program, the club anniversary Little Miss Revlon “Evening in Paris” doll designed by Robert Tonner was presented to members that opted to purchase it. All members received a decorative box and a club souvenir book with a center paper doll re-drawn by Judy B. A paper doll version of the club doll was given to all members by Pat D. Many members contributed to assorted gifts and doll accessories that were shared with members.
